Emmy's First & Last Day of Kindergarten
As things typically happen for middle-children, Emmy's first day video is a year late, but it includes her sweet Kinder ceremony at the end. Another time-capsule video for us to look back on down the road.

This was quite possibly the most beautiful campsite that we've ever stayed in as a family. Crested Butte is known as the wildflower capital of Colorado - and for good reason. But sharing it with the ones you love makes it that much sweeter. Camping with kids in the backcountry of Colorado. What could go wrong? Wrong question. Right question: what will go right? It wasn't easy, and sometimes we wondered what we were doing out there, but in the end, it was everything that we hoped it would have been. And more. Here's why: Each summer growing up, my grandfather, father, brothers...

We've done 25 National Parks. Just got back from Grand T NP and Yellowstone NP. I think both may have been my favorite so far. I was a couple feet away from a Bison that decided to walk up to me and over the boardwalk....and several walked pass my car grunting and growling when we did an evening loop drive, Saw a bear casually eating in a field, elk, A moose on the Cascade Canyon out and back hike(very close to the trailhead where the ferry drops you off), swam in the freezing waters of Jenny lake and warmer string lake, swam in the thermal fed waters of the fire hole river and Hiked all along the Yellow Stone river with views of the waterfalls. I love National Parks because they make it easy for old folk to enjoy immense beauty with a short walk from the parking lot.... OR.... give you the opportunity to take a "risk your life adventure hike" in the glorious wild! Note to all: Yellowstone has thermal pools with boardwalks and signage to keep you safe....but there're hikes that will lead you right up to very dangerous hot pools, thin crust surfaces to fall through and hot streams without any boardwalks, fencing or signs.....it's just there bubbling away miles away from the trailhead. One example out of many is a hike just a mile or so after fairy falls.

Jordan, I appreciate how you are using your artistic gifts to honor your family, document their legacy, and bring glory to God. You are blessed with a wonderful, godly family. I pray that, if the Lord wills, you will one day be the old patriarch sitting there at The Bend, surrounded and adored by your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and that they will all walk in the paths of the Lord for generations and generations to come.

Thanks, Tyler. Last night when I was putting Jackson to bed, I told him that I was glad that he liked going to Leaning Bluff so much because when I was his age I loved going with my Dad and Grandad. He looked at me and said, “and when I get big, I’ll take my little boy out there too.” I hadn’t yet thought about, Lord willing, being the patriarch out there with my descendants, some day. Thanks for the prayer for adoring grandchildren, but especially faithful descendants.

However, it's been a while and is definitely time to go back and make some new ones. You did an amazing job of capturing the essence of joy, love, happiness, and life of the Moore's. I am grateful to you for putting together and sharing such immense beauty in God's majestic land. Uncle Grady was one of my heroes. I have always looked toward and admired his beliefs and the 3 magnificent children he and Aunt Janice raised...to follow in his footsteps. He was happy with the simple things in life and never needed or wanted anything more than to be surrounded by friends and family, rather it be on his deck, at a reunion, or hugging me every time I stepped through the church doors. He is going to be missed by everyone that was graced with his presence in their lives. We love each of you and are proud to call you our family.

Jordan, I don’t know you but in 10 short minutes I feel like I know everything I need to know about you. Never stop telling stories or using your brilliant talents as a filmmaker to move the souls of men. What your father did as a preacher you’re doing as an artist - pointing others to the Creator your grandfather so eloquently acknowledged as he gazed at the beauty of the Texas landscape. We’re preparing our retirement plans to see the astonishing spectacle of the likes of Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier. I’ve seen hundreds (thousands?) of videos by so many other travelers and artists who sought to tell their story. Your one little 6-minute film about your children and the “real-life fairy tale land” has more meaning, passion, depth, and texture than any of them. You have a great gift, sir. I feel blessed to have seen its fruits. -Leo
